Do You Want This?: eShakti Review

Recently I was contacted by the lovely folks over at eShakti to do a review on a piece of their apparel.  When I first saw "eShakti product review" in my inbox I thought perhaps I was being offered a chance to sample a really great noodle dish or to-go sushi, but the shop is actually chock full of pretty dresses which is more up my alley.  After scouring the site I came across this embroidered number leading to my fancy being officially tickled. While eShakti gives its customers the option of custom sizing (costing an additional $7.50), I opted to go the fuss free route and stuck with the standard/ready to wear sizing (ranging from size 0-26).  I received my dress in two and a half weeks (to their defense I ordered this just before the holidays so there were quite a few days when the postpeople were enjoying some well earned time off) and after a long ironing session I wiggled my behind into the garment. It was love upon first wiggle. The quality is quite good (definitely a step up from your local mall chain shop), the detailing is gorgeous, and the fit was right on.  Just take a look for yourself

While I am completely smittened with my dress, I did find that the site as a whole lacked variety. While the site offers many dresses, tops, jackets, etc I would have liked to have seen more patterned and embellished frocks, but that's just me being picky.  Overall, I'm very pleased with my experience and would encourage you lovely ladies to check eShakti out for yourself.

  10. This is eye popping, Amber Girly Bird! I really and truly like it. You look ultra feminine in that dress. The embroidery is gorgeous and your matching leggins and gloves create maximum WOW! Your hair style is also perfectly suited to the look. I also appreciate the natural setting and Kev's excellent photography. He always knows how to bring out your best.   13. Thanks for the honest, thorough review! The site seems great for anyone who is afraid to shop online because of sizing worries, being able to customise and size your own garment really makes a difference. You look positively beautiful in your own dress!

  16. That dress and that outfit you put together with it, is one of my favorites on you! It's very throw backy, but modern at the same time! If I had extra cash, I might have gotten a dress from them. But I'm on a tight saving for Europe budget!

  22. I kinda feel the same way about eshakti. I mean, they have a lot of clothing, but very few are in my "style," I guess you could say. But this dress is lovely on you! and you've styled it really well with those adorable tights!

  35. What a cute dress, I haven't ordered from eshakti but I have done quite a bit of window shopping on the site. They have some cute stuff and I like that they carry plus sized options, it is hard to find cute dresses that are reasonably priced as a plus sized lady. I hope with time they will start to carry more variety because I agree that the options are a bit limited.

  43. My items finally arrived today after ordering them on march 30th they came april 24th. The guarantee on their website about shipping time is bullshit.

    So my order finally comes im in canada and I had to pay the UPS guy 160$ in brokerage and custom fees.

    When my items came I received 2 of the same dresses and one of my dresses was missing.

    I ended up returning 5 dresses and keeping 3 and it costs me 21$ to mail the dresses back to WA.

    I will never order from this company again.
    The dresses fit well because I custom ordered it but they weren’t amazing fabrics or dresses.

    I am very disapointed in this company.
