Raise your hand if you could have used a three day weekend! I am beyond pooped this morning after a whirlwind weekend filled with meet up time with my fellow Connecticut bloggers (more on that tomorrow), a dinner party celebrating my in-laws 39th wedding anniversary (39 years and they still kinda like each other), and tool time with my husband trying to fix our dead washing machine (it has since been revived, hallelujah). Despite being a little dreary eyed today, I am trucking along and hoping not to run into parking lot sun bathing lady. Oh, you don't know parking lot sun bathing lady, well let me enlighten you. Parking lot sun bathing lady is a lady who on her breaks goes out to the company parking lot, takes out her beach chair, and soaks in rays...in her swimsuit....in the parking lot. At first I thought parking lot sun bathing lady was a new phenomenon, but then I remembered her from last year wherein she did the exact same thing only not in a swimsuit. She's stepped up her game this year, like the pro she is, and by pro I mean an orangey/brown nut-ball. Way to stay classy Connecticut. ;)

i love the lace. also, parking lot sun bathing lady sounds kind of weird, like the people who put on their workout clothes and power walk laps inside the mall all day long.
ReplyDeleteWow, that lady sounds all kinds of messed up...and is probably going to look like a catcher's mitt/shrunken head within the next few years. Unrelatedly, I love the shorts and cardigan combo, super cute.

that is the WEIRDEST thing I have ever heard. oh man that woman.....
ReplyDeleteyou look darling!
Sorry I'm late again, Amber Girly Bird. I've been hosting a lady named Debby (the tropical storm) who came to visit over the weekend and has overstayed her welcome! No sunshine for us. Instead, over a foot of rain in some spots, widespread urban flooding and scattered tornados with days of rain still in the forecast. Grab your mix tapes and come on down to my hurricane party!
ReplyDeleteExcessive tanning was in style for about 5 minutes but most fashion conscious women have since learned that maintaining gothic pale skin keeps you young looking much longer. Have a great day up your way, dear friend!
I could always use a 3-day weekend! ;) Sounds like you had a busy and fun weekend! Also, parking lot lady sounds like one strange character...
ReplyDeleteHaha I'm happy it's Monday because I have today off! I opened both Saturday and Sunday which meant waking up at 3:30 AM. No fun.
