Weak In The Knees: The Black Lillies

 Image Via: Here

Let it be known that I love "fiddle picking, toe tapping, my wife is divorcing me and all I got was this bottle of whiskey" country music (I am from Texas after all).  Judge me if you must, but I hold firm to the belief that this music warms the soul like nothing else.  Enter The Black Lillies, a five piece ensemble hailing from the back roads of Knoxville, Tennessee.  This bandcamp find proves that the Americana revival is going strong which means that there must be other music lovers out there who share my enthusiasm for well crafted, lyric driven, raspy-voiced tunes.  Whether or not any of those music lovers follow my little ole blog remains to be seen, but even if you believe that this genre just isn't your cup of tea I urge you to press play and give The Black Lillies a whirl.  Let them persuade you into joining us on the dark side.....we have whiskey.

  Hugs,

Amber

  1. Give me Disco... or give me death!

Now that I got your attention, Amber Girly Bird, I will assure you that I, for one, dig The Black Lillies! These guys aren't pretenders. They're cranking out an authentic sound. I love the rich, mature male and female lead vocals. "Nobody's Business" is a real treat among many. I'm very excited about the Americana revival. It's blowing in like a fresh, cool breeze. My advice to everyone in Bloggerville is to proceed directly to your nearest music outlet and pick yourself a bunch of Black Lillies. Thank you, Amber, and have a safe and happy weekend, dear friend!
