Da na na na na na na na

Holy mother of all movies, Batman!  The Dark Knight Rises was actually worth the price of a movie theater ticket!  I know I am late to the game as I only saw this flick over the weekend, but I'd still like to add my two very enthusiastic thumbs up to the overflowing bundles of positive reviews.  Since I loathe large crowds I tend to always just see movies right before they are being booted from the theaters, which actually suits me just fine as my fellow movie goers are usually on the elderly side and thus quiet and respectful.  Well apparently someone didn't get the memo informing them that early morning movie showings are reserved for individuals who enjoy a zen like theater experience and this particular someone also didn't get the note that talking through an entire movie is the rudeness equivalent of asking a fat lady when her baby is due.  The constant blabbering was so bad that Kevin and I moved seats mid movie in order to be as far from the perpetrators as possible. This move seemed to fix the problem until a young actor in the flick starting singing The National Anthem prompting this particular someone to decide that it was necessary to sing along for all the theater to hear........Where's Batman when you need him.

  2. It's soo good! Urgh, I hate people who blab in cinemas, they should be banned by the cinema police! If you wanna chat through a movie, watch it at home!
Anyways, the dark knight rises was awesome and I loved Anne Hathaway as catwoman!

  4. This outfit is an eye-popper, dearie. Looks like my favorite teacher, Mrs. Girlybird, is heading off to the first day of class. What's that around your neck?

    Over 30, you mean?

FYI - I was babysitting my 10 grandchildren over the weekend (all under the age of 3 and all constantly sneezing, coughing, whining and crying). I loaded the rugrats in the van, headed up I-95 and desperately searched for the same movie theater you were attending hoping we could sit right next to you... and in front of you... and behind you. I'm sorry to say we accidentally took a ramp to a business route, got lost in beautiful downtown Mayberry, North Carolina, and never made it as far as Connecticut. I promise we'll try again soon. Maybe we can all attend one of your park photo ops.

And thus begins another week of fashion and fun. Have a great day, dear friend Amber!

  6. Wow, that sounds so annoying. I swear, there's a special circle of hell reserved for people who pull that crap in movie theaters. On a positive note, I love your blazer. It's really cute.

  9. I love that you took the preppyness to the next level here, even adding in the brainy specks - are you sure you are from texas, or have you just been in new england too long now?

  11. My husband and I decided on a whim to go to the Thursday night/Friday morning midnight premiere. Noisy teenagers are the worst. :-P

Also, do you have highlights in your hair now? Are they new or am I just super unobservant??

  12. Still have not seen this, i know. Dont judge me! I like to go when old people go to the movies too. Sounds like your buddy at the theater may have gotten a bit sauced before the show. Love your outfit! The colors are fantastic together and i do love seeing you in your glasses!

  13. GAH–screw people who misbehave at the movies, especially at the end of their run. Everyone knows if you want to throw candy at the screen, you go on opening night!

  16. Ok, I am so sad everyone is seeing TDRK before me. Why oh why must my friends make it so difficult with their vacations and jobs to schedule a time together to watch Nolan's genius!! Sigh. Anyway, what a bright and fun outfit! Just enough colour without any garish appearance.

  20. i hate everyone at the movies. when bear and i saw black swan we were the only two people in the theatre until two minutes before it started when two middle aged women sat in the two seats directly in front of us. ENTIRE THEATRE EMPTY. like, my feet were up on the back of the seat and they STILL sat there. i leaned forward and whispered loudly "i will kick your fucking head off." and bear wouldn't talk to me for the rest of the day because i literally threatened to murder someone.

    i regret nothing.

also, bear was "recovering" from dark knight rises for about four days after we saw it. it actually got pretty terrible reviews from people who get paid to write movie reviews. i will kick their fucking heads off.

    love youuuuu!

Mikey and I waited over a month to see the last Batman and when we did it was STILL crowded! Cuhrazy. This time we'll wait a little longer but we're both super eager to find out what all the fuss is about! Plus I can't wait to see my boyfriend Joseph Gordon-Levitt in it. *Drool*
Too bad I wasn't with you. We could have totally taken that blabber douchebag.
