Weak In The Knees: Noah Gundersen

 Image Via: Here

With songs written from the heart and a serene controlled voice, its easy to see why Noah Gundersen has been providing the soundtrack for my rainy indoor summer days lately.  There is something very relaxing and comforting about this artist's tender folk music that makes me keep hitting repeat. The only issue I have is the fact that this kid is only in his early twenties and we all know how much I hate it when people younger than me excel at anything (this goes for musicians, athletes, coloring contest winners, etc.), however I'm willing to overlook this detail because he's the stuff of my coffee shop dreams. So Noah Gundersen, wherever you may be, allow to me say that its a pleasure to listen to you and as long as you keep your age to yourself then we should have one long and happy musical relationship together for the foreseeable future.  You're one lucky guy.

Hugs,
 Amber

  1. Cheer up, Amber Girly Bird. Don't feel badly about younger people eclipsing your talents and abilities. I'm still learning how to wave bye-bye!

I need to apologize for being remiss yesterday in my appraisal of your blog. While acknowledging your beauty, sense of style and humor and top notch photography I neglected to mention your music savvy, another key component of your fine blog.

Country folk singer/songwriter Tom Rush recorded a fine song called "Rainy Day Man" and Noah G, with his simple, intimate vocal style and acoustic guitar accompaniment, is just that. The lonely violin intro on "O Death" made me weep (verklempt). Thank you for another ear pleasing concert, dear Amber, and have a great weekend!
