I know my dream of being a lanky 60s Parisian bombshell is probably never going to come true, but at least I have French singer songwriter Fabienne Delsol to live vicariously through. This Bardot bouffanted sex kitten started her career as lead singer of The Bristols before recording snappy 60s style "ye-ye" (French for "go-go") tunes as a solo artist. Her sound will not float everyone's boat (I've come across quite a few folks who view this genre of music as "fluff"), but if purring vocals and sultry oomph are up your alley then give this gal a go.

I got chills and fever, Amber Girly Bird! Let's you and me make a quick 'n' dirty low budget black & white art film and use these songs as the soundtrack. Fabienne Delsol certainly does transport us back to those smoky, boozy, whatta got to loozy 60s. She reminds me a little of Claudine Longet, a French actress and singer of the 60s whose records sold well in America. (She was married to singing star Andy Williams.) Great stuff, Amber.
