I hope you've all picked out your Halloween costumes by now cause the big day is literally right around the corner (side note: how lame is it that Halloween falls on a Wednesday? how am I supposed to get toasted on a Wednesday?). As for me, well I've waited until the last minute again and thus am going as a candy distributor. While I may have the lamest costume on my block (more like world) I do have the best little All Hallows Eve mix this side of blogland so at least I've got that going for me. Since my taste in music is all kinds of hip, you won't find everyone's favorite cornball tune "Monster Mash" or the classic "One Eyed Purple People Eater"on this playlist. Instead I've opted for tunes that will evoke a sense of mystery, a sense of dread, a sense of "wow that Amber really knows her sh*t." Cause in the end, all anyone really wants to be on Halloween is cool.

You got me spooked, Amber Girly Bird! These Halloween ditties of yours are sleepy, weepy and creepy. You're always telling me I have a vast knowledge of music but you got me beat. Most everything you present on Fridays is uncharted territory for me. I really appreciate being exposed to all this exciting material. Hey, dearie, if you didn't check the Weather Channel lately you should. You might be having a combination Halloween/hurricane party thanks to a perfect storm named Sandy. I sure hope it doesn't bring misery and power outages to your vicinity. I'll be thinking about you in the days to come, dear friend.

I don't even know if I should write this, but I'm starting to get a little bit fed up with all this Halloween stuff. We don't celebrate Halloween parties here in Slovakia, so it's a little bit disturbing for me that the pumpkins are jumping on me from every single blog I open :) However, that won't prevent me from listening to your playlist, which, I'm sure is as cool as you are :)
