The End

You may have guessed from the title of this post, but today will mark my last blog entry (please try to control your emotions).  I've been debating whether I should continue on with blogging for some time now, but it was during a recent shoot wherein I was literally freezing my nads off, when I thought to myself "why I am doing this, no one is holding a gun to my head?"  I started this blog to gain some confidence, gain some friends, and to simply have fun, but recently posting has felt more like a chore so I've decided to end it (the blog that is).  I'm still gonna cyber stalk many of your blogs and I may post on here every now and then should I happen to create a bombastic outfit or am having a particularly good hair day, but for the most part I'm outta the game.  I leave you with this glorious photo of my backside and a goodbye mix tape playlist to get you through this trying time. This is the Girly Bird, signing off and saying see ya when I see ya.

  1. Oh, dear Amber, this is the most depressing news ever. You are truly an asset to the blog world, a rare combination of beauty, brains, sense of style and sense of humor. It makes me very sad to know that I won't have the pleasure of coming here three times a week, seeing your beautiful pictures and matching wits with you.   13. I wish I could throw a temper tantrum right now, but that's not my style! Plus, I totally feel ya, sometimes we just all need a break and who knows when we will feel like coming back. I honestly don't know where I'm gonna get my daily dose of snark (other than what comes out of my own mouth), or weird bands to listen to. This means that you will have to add songs to the playlists every week! Join the mailing list! I'm going to go cry a little bit now, at least get one tear out.

  14. This makes me so sad (for me and your other friends and readers here) but happy that you made the right decision for you! I always said if blogging started to feel like a chore or something I felt like I had to do then I should stop because that's not what it's about for me. I will definitely be keeping in contact with you my dear!(I'll need music recommendations every now and then at least!) I will miss reading your words and seeing your lovely face! :(

Aw, I'm so sorry to hear that The Girly Bird is signing off, but I totally understand your reasoning... blogging is supposed to be fun, and if it doesn't feel fun, there's absolutely no reason to keep up with it.
