Bombed

Somethings are just not meant to be like finding an acceptable locale for photos that provides good lighting and is void of all people. After what seemed like a lifetime of searching for that perfect spot with no luck, Kevin and I threw our hands in the air and turned into the town cemetery for a disgruntled shoot.  We decided to steer clear of the actual gravestones not because we are superstitious nansy pansies, but because they didn't feel summery (feel free to judge us).  We instead opted for a nice dirty shed to provide our backdrop because what says summer better than wood pallets and discarded patio furniture?

Blouse: F21
Skirt: Modcloth
Purse: Gift
Shoes: Thrifted

So clearly the photos aren't my best (I appear to be taking a short nap in the last one), but I still like the outfit and am way too lazy to reshoot it (again, feel free to judge).  Before I hop off to resume said laziness, I'd like to announce that Alicia from So Pauve is the winner of the $20.00 SkinCare RX giveaway.  I'll be in touch shortly lady!

Hugs,

Amber

  2. I'll be your judge and jury, Amber Girly Bird, and I hereby pronounce you gorgeous as charged! You're beautiful when pissed off and these pictures prove it. Nobody but nobody looks better amongst dilapidated sheds, wood slabs, weeds, poison ivy, dirt, rubble and leering construction workers... not even Christie Brinkley! Have yourself a fine feathered day, Girly Bird!

  10. I don't know, gravestones and dirty sheds are what Irish summers are all about! There's nothing like a good mid-photo shoot nap, sometimes if there's people around I like to close my eyes in the hopes that they can't see me like my little brother used to when I found him whilst playing hide and seek. It's hard to explain to a 5 year old that just because you can't see me, doesn't mean I can't see you. So cute!

Anyway...I love your purse! and you sandals and the colourblocking. well played Amber.

  11. Is it weird that I think a cemetery is the perfect place for places? Although I will admit to being partial to the shed as well - probably because I discovered a similar one in my new hood that will be making a lot of appearances in my upcoming photos.
