Do not adjust your computer screens, you are still at the home of The Girly Bird she just got a little makeover courtesy of Yellow & Savvy Design. I had been toying with the idea of updating the ole blog for quite some time and finally took the plunge last week purchasing one of Yellow & Savvy's pre-made templates. It's still being tweaked so your patience would be gladly welcomed. In other less world altering news, I managed to catch the flick Moonrise Kingdom over the weekend and it was as quirky and loveable as everyone raved it would be. The binocular loving female lead was reminiscent of a young Margot Tenenbaum which I suppose shouldn't come as too much of a surprise since Wes Anderson directed both films. All in all, an enjoyable movie fully worth a trip to the ever expensive theater. Seriously, where do they get off charging nearly twenty bucks for a soda and hour old popcorn? And they wonder why we sneak in candy and twinkies in our purses (just me?).

As you can see from the outfit specs, I'm basically a walking Oasap billboard in this number. I usually try to avoid wearing all one brand, but these pieces were meant to be together and who am I to get between a true flawless fashion coordination love affair.
Hugs,
Amber

Tweak away, Amber Girly Bird! I'm gonna stick like glue because I'm stuck on you (pathetic, extremely dated reference to a 1960 Elvis Presley song that only reinforces the fact that I'm old... very very old). ITA with you that movie theaters are robbing us blind with their high prices. My local theater even offers a lay-away plan for those who wish to view a movie this Christmas. Only 5 more installment payments and I'll be able to see the latest Ben Stiller joint Oh Come All Ye Fockers. You look exceptionally purdy in these pics, dear Amber, and I wish you a very happy week ahead!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love the redesign...and your super adorable top. There's a lot to love here.

i LOVE the new look--and these photos are so beautiful and ethereal. i want to live in that (atrium?) and i sneak sour patch kids into the theater every time. in bulk. or beer and pizza, if we're going to the drive-in (where tickets are still only $7 for a double feature!)

This is such a cute outfit, I would kill to be able to pull off those shorts. I love the way the blog looks, good job with it, I always have my boyfriend do any of the html stuff because my html knowledge is severely stunted. I haven't heard of Moonrise Kingdom, or maybe I have and forgot, who knowwsss... but I sneak candy into the theater all the time, if only ice cream didn't melt I'd probably consider sneaking that into the theater as well.
