Without Kevin around to motivate me, I can be a real lazy bum. This
past Saturday he left me home alone to play eighteen holes of golf with a
work buddy and instead of doing anything remotely productive, I went
into internet zombie mode. I went wild pinning random cleaning tips
(who knew there was another use for baking soda other than sitting in my
fridge for four years), bookmarked a zillion ModCloth dresses for my
Christmas wish list (only a hundred and something days left), and even
decided on a hippie puppy name for Oliver's future fur-baby sister (meet
Begonia Rainbow who does not exist yet but I've got my fingers crossed
that Santa brings me her). So yeah, not a very constructive way to
spend a Saturday, but then again, who gets to decide what’s “productive”
anyway? Sure pinteresting all day doesn’t really contribute to society
right now, but think of all the cool stuff I’m gonna get done sometime in the future.....

Amazing coincidence, Amber Girly Bird! I just finished smoking a bowl of Begonia Rainbow. I never worry too much about being productive. Reproductive is more fun. I'll be honest with you now. This is one of the most exquisite outfits you've ever modeled on your blog and the lush greenery in the background sets it (ad you) off perfectly. Way to go, guys! Have a groovy day, dear friend Amber!
ReplyDeleteLeft to my own devices at home I also turn into an insanely lazy person...all that's missing for me is a skirt as awesome as yours.

golf. I just don't get it. But I do get sitting around and pinning all day ..... much fun
ReplyDeleteSo Cute! And I totally go into zombie mode all the time when the man leaves me to myself. And I never knew there was another use for dryer sheets. Husband saw me waxing the focets with them and gave me the weirdest look and then asked "Pinterest?"
ReplyDeleteHey, sounds like a productive enough way to spend a Saturday to me! ;-)
ReplyDeleteAlso: "who knew there was another use for baking soda other than sitting in my fridge for four years" haha, I think you have me beat!! I put a box in our fridge when we first moved in - 3 1/2 years ago - and haven't changed it yet. :-P
You have the best luck at F21. I dont think I have the patience for the store. I also have never thrifted anything ever. That seriously needs to change.
ReplyDeleteGlad I'm not the only lazy one... seriously without Izzy around I get NOTHING done.
ReplyDeleteloving it girl!
ReplyDeleteamazing skirt :)
love the styling.
I dont know, sounds pretty productive to me. I mean, getting a head start on christmas and thinking about cleaning the house? is there a better way to spend your time?
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd that's more productive than I am...I sit around watching Little House on the Prairie ;)

haha oh when the husbands have things to do other than spend time with us! internet zombie land! hahahah perfect way to describe that! Baking soda is awesome. I too discovered all of it's uses about a year ago. It is really amazing at cleaning bath tubs, ovens, sinks! I don't waste my money on chemicals anymore. As always gorgeous outfit. Love the skirt and how it's moving with the wind in the first pic.
ReplyDeleteamber this is why i love you so much! yes i can think of all the wonderful productive things you will do in the future, like come visit me! did you pin that? hmm? i hope so :D somebody's gotta be lazy and i really hope that you get begonia rainbow, what kinda pup is she? i think if i had to think up a hippie name for my next kitty it would be moonwhea, all one word too. i think she would be a big fluffy white cat too! oh and can i have this outfit please? you look awesome in it and i am super jealous of that pleated skirt!

ReplyDeleteI just love reading about your daily antics! You crack me up, I swear.
ReplyDeleteWhere in the heck did you come up with that name?? Sounds like the name of a tasty shot! I really like it :)
Baking soda = I can relate and so can everyone in my family apparently. I lol'd that you even brought that up.
Loving this beachy outfit and that first shot is awesomesauce with the way your skirt is flowing and erry'thang.
Hahahaha, that's the most freaking amazing hippie puppy name ever! You best get her for Christmas! She needs to exist in this world.
ReplyDeleteLOVE that skirt
ReplyDeleteThe things we get up to when our men aren't around ! ;) I hope your Christmas is filled with pretty dresses and hippie named puppies! We are so alike, I keep meaning to buy Baking Soda because I've read so many things on how it's good for cleaning. It's an exiting like I lead, don't be jealous....
